Social Events

WAVE: Widening Adult Vital Experiences, Inc provides opportunities for social activities, performing chorus, community involvement, and life-skills training activities for adults and teens with developmental disabilities. Activities are designed to serve a broad range of abilities and preferences. Social activities include dances, swim parties, bowling, and hay-rides, to name a few. Life skills training include Activities of daily living, field trips, arts and crafts, academic and vocational skills training and development of communication and socialization skills. Our performing chorus meets weekly to practice and performs at various community events. Our goal is to provide opportunities for involvement as well as the support and assistance needed to make the activities accessible and a successful experience for our clients. It is our philosophy to provide services that enhance the ability of each individual to be an integral part of the community and to foster friendships so as to take part in a rich social life that most of us take for granted.
